Tutorial: How to Enable/Disable Code Helpers in AceHTML Pro

Code helpers are handy if you want to type in HTML, ASP, and PHP faster. Code Completion pops up a dropdown list of commands/attributes as you type, while Code Tooltip displays a list of properties when the cursor hovers over a tag. You'll probably either love or hate the code helpers. Fortunately, it's really simple to turn them on or off:

  1. Locate the Code Completion and Code Tooltip icons (the last two) on the vertical toolbar (on the left end of the editing window).
  2. If the corresponding icon is pressed down, it means the feature is activated. If it's raised, the feature is deactivated.

Another way to do this is via the General Preferences menu (SHIFT+CTRL+F11). Click on Editor - Code Helpers and unclick the corresponding checkboxes. While you're in that dialog, you can set the popup delay for each.
